This method will keep your parsley fresh for weeks, basil for at least 1 1/2 weeks and maximize the lifespan of other herbs.
Method
- Take a cup, mason jar, or old sanitized jam jar and fill it with an inch of cold water.
- Trim the stem of your herbs, just about 1 cm.
- Place the herbs in the jar, unwashed.
- Place the plastic bag over the cup and twist the end close off.
- Replace the water every 3-5 days.
But you do have access to a garden of fresh herbs. You have basil, sage, parsley...
